Shane Rose

Shane Rose is a talented event rider who has represented Australia at many major events and champions in 2016 Shane Rose competed at the 2016 Rio Olympics riding the fantastic CP Qualified.

Shane Rose is the youngest of four children, he has two sisters and a brother all of whom also rode from an early age. Shane Rose was heavily involved in the pony club as a kid but was also influenced by famous horsemen Heath Harris and Tony Jablonski which introduced him to stunt riding and endurance. When Shane Rose left school and began his career as an event rider he was fortunate to be able to spend 6 months with the chef d`equipe of the Canadian eventing team Peter Taylor and another six months in the UK with British eventer Jane Thelwall (Wallace). On his return to to Australia Shane would continue to compete as an eventer but supplemented his income as a handyman and laborer, he would hit the bug time when he purchased a prospect for the future Dudley Serious for $600, this would prove a shroud investment as bu 1995 he was competing Dudley Serious in international eventing competitions.

Shane Rose would continue to excel in his chosen equestrian sport of eventing and would represent Australia in many more championships including getting selected for the 1996 Atlanta Olympics with Mr Joe Cool, unfortunately injury stopped him going to the finals. In 1998 he would compete in the world equestrian games in Rome with Its A Knockout, but a bacterial infection would force him to walk home in the cross country section four fences from the end. At the Beijing Olympics Shane was a member of the silver medal winning team, he would also represent Australia at the 2012 London Olympics with Taurus and again more recently at the 2016 olympics in Rio with CP Qualified.
